Meet Lea…
Compassionate counsellor and Mental Health Practitioner.
Hi, I'm Lea Marrison, a Mental Health Social Worker and Professional Supervisor with over 15 years' experience supporting individuals, families and communities across mental health, education and community settings. I hold a Bachelor of Psychology and a Master of Social Work and am a member of the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW).
I provide warm, compassionate and trauma-informed support for adults, adolescents, older adults, carers and families experiencing a range of emotional, personal and psychosocial challenges. My approach is person-centred and tailored to your individual needs, drawing on evidence-informed therapeutic approaches to help you build resilience, gain clarity and move forward with greater confidence.
Throughout my career, I have supported people experiencing anxiety, low mood, grief and loss, trauma, stress, relationship and family challenges, caring responsibilities and significant life transitions. Where appropriate, I also incorporate creative and flexible approaches, including art-based strategies and animal-assisted support.
Alongside counselling, I provide professional supervision for social workers, mental health practitioners and other helping professionals. I am passionate about creating a supportive space for practitioners to reflect on their work, strengthen their practice, navigate complex situations, build professional confidence and prioritise their own wellbeing.
My goal is to provide a safe, welcoming and non-judgemental space where you feel heard, respected and supported. Whatever has brought you here, you don't have to navigate it alone.
